CAD CAM Orthotics Manufacturing

At Bartholomew Way Clinic and Footwear Solutions we love to use technology and gadgets to help improve your foot comfort.

In 2006 we bought Orthema systems custom insole manufacturing equipment.

This includes a contact digitiser that can capture a 3D digital “cast” of a foot, allowing us to manipulate the shape in our CAD (Compter Aided Design) software to design an ideal insole to support your foot.

The resulting design is then milled from a block of material (EVA or Cork) in our CNC milling machine (The CAM or Computer Aided Manufacture bit…)

This means we can provide you with custom made orthotics much faster than many other clinics in the UK.  Our podiatrists could see you in clinic, undertake a basic biomechanical assessment, cast your feet and manufacture your orthotics in just a 2 hour appointment.

All with the aim of providing rapid relief for your feet.
